Ansan denied a rare win by an injury time leveller

A late goal from Suwon denied Ansan a chance to claim three points for the first time in seven games. A blistering encounter kept the worst of the sudden dip in temperature at bay as the Wa Stadium crowd were enthralled by a close thought encounter.

The game was played at the tempo expected of a local derby, with Suwon being Ansan's closest geographical rivals. Ansan came racing out of the blocks and Suwon were lucky to see the referee keep his cards in his pocket as an early through ball was dealt with by a blatant pull back by the Suwon centre backs. Jusang Lee set the tone for Ansan and his excellent ealry work led to Suwon keeper Jung-hyung Lee spilling a shot only for the usually on target Doseong Lee to miss a sitter. Suwon were just as assertive and had a great chance when a free header was powered towards goal, Ansan keeper Jinung Kang making an excellent punched save to keep the visitors out. Jusang (9) and Doseong (10) continued to link well, forging most of Ansan's drive forward, but Suwon, still in with a play-off shout began to dominate the game and hem Ansan into their own half. Jusang Lee was also involved at the back, tracking back well and giving the right side of the Suwon midfield a torrid time. The breakthrough almsot came towards the end of the first half as Jinung Kang dealt with a one-on-one brilliantly with a sliding challenge. A late pot shot from Hanbyeol Kim had Ansan fans on their feet, but his long range effort sailed just wide of the post.

The second half began at a frenetic pace with the referee keen on his whistle to slow down some of the play. Ansan looked on top in the opening stages and a distant lob from Doseong Lee landed in the roof netting with the Suwon keeper well beaten. Ansan's dominance paid off when a challenge from behind had the referee pointing to the spot and Jusang Lee stepped up to drive the spot-kick hard and fast into the bottom left corner to put Ansan ahead fifteen minutes from time. Suwon suddenly burst into life and should have replied immediately when a free header was miscued wide. Ansan should have doubled their lead with Jusang Lee again involved, laying off a great cross goal ball, only to see Doseong Lee (Ansan's top scorer this seaosn from open play) fire over. The last ten minutes were firmly in Suwon hands, with Ansan captain Jaepil Shin called upon heavilly in the midfield to try and break up the Suwon play. Ansan had ten men behind the ball but it still took some fine saves from Jinung Kang to keep Suwon out. A rare reprieve saw Donghon Yoon speed down the right side, holding off the tracking Suwon defnders but blazing over. Two minutes into injury time however Ansan hearts were broken, with Suwon again causing havoc from a corner kick, and Kijae Oh powering a header into the Ansan goal.

Ansan will not take too much heart from the manner in which they conceded, being second best for most of the 50-50's throughout the game. Ansan must also lament some poor finishing, especially when they were in control of the game. With Mokpo beating Cheonan, Ansan must beat bottom of the leaue Chungju in the last home game of the season to have a chance at finishing at least 12th.

Jinung Kang
Made some great stops including some brilliant challenges when facing Suwon through-balls

Yeongu Han Put in a solid performance at the back

Jaepil Shin Had the affection of the crowd and put in a solid shift in the centre with some full-blooded tackles
Man of the Match

Jusang Lee

Led most of Ansan's attacks and also pitched in defensively. Slotted away the penalty as well.

Doseong Lee
Linked up very well with Jusang Lee, but poor finishing let down a lively performance

Hyeongi Kim
Looked lively early on, getting invloved in almost everything both in attack and defence on the right. Good set-piece taking but faded as the game drew on

Hanoung Park Had a torrid time as a lone striker, looked better when drifting out wide
