Ansan kick start their home campaign with a straightforward win over Goyang

A newly branded Ansan side opened their home league campaign with a victory thanks to Choi Bokyung's goal. Ansan made it two wins in two to fill the home fans with optimism after an abysmal 2015 campaign.

A host of new faces lined up for Ansan, sporting their new green and white kits, as they prepared to christen the Wa Stadium with the new club sub-name: Mugunghwa. the opposition came in the familiar guise of Goyang, the former Ansan residents, with two times AFSC player of the season Kang Jinung lining up between the Goyang sticks for the likewise newly branded Goyang Zaicro.

Continuing in the vein of form that saw them demolish Busan I'Park on the opening day of the season, Ansan dominated much of the game, drawing some fine saves from the Goyang number one. Im Seonyeong (16) and Kong Minhyeon (18) linked up well throughout the match, with Im squaring a delicious ball across the box midway through the first half that Kong could not quite reach. Im almost scored a wonder goal soon after, delivering an acrobatic scissor kick that was fired just over the bar.

For all their attractive play, the goal itself was a messy one with an inswinging ball being bundled into the back of the net by Choi Bokyung (15) with more than a hint of a shove on the keeper.

Ansan almost went up by two before the break with Im and Kong linking up impressively again, but this time it was Im who could not find the finishing touch.

Ansan saw out a tame second half, threatening on occasdion and striking the woodwork, before running out a second consecutuve victory to see themselves top of the table on matchday 2.
